American Philosophical Society Museum

A small museum in Philosophical Hall on Independence Square, right beside Independence Hall. The building once held Charles Willson Peale's museum — America's first natural-history museum, famous for the mastodon skeleton he mounted — and today it shows rare printings of the Declaration of Independence.
