John Paul Jones

Scottish-born American naval commander, often called the father of the U.S. Navy. He boarded at the Portsmouth, New Hampshire house that now bears his name — the John Paul Jones House, which I visited in Portsmouth for its Treaty of Portsmouth exhibit.
